Since its foundation in 1955, Awacamenj Mino, an Algonquin term meaning ‘‘Better than the better’’, offers a true paradise of wildlife and vegetation. Open to all organized groups, the camp is the biggest outdoor recreational base in the area. We welcome, throughout the year, scout groups or cadet groups for their camps, schools for their outdoor education classes, outings, leadership camps, sports groups to reinforce team spirit, and many more.

The campground measures 750 acres, and nearly 2km of its territory borders Lake Isabel (also know as lac de l'Île in french). Open year-round, we are located deep in the forest at 75km north of Ottawa-Gatineau.
